Review: Mystique Nail Applique

Hello dearies!

I have something that is a first for me to show you today! They are Mystique Nail Applique
I've never tried nail appliques before, so when the opportunity to use one came, I was over the moon!

Look at these lovelies on my nails...

When I received these in my mail, I was happy. I didn't get to pick a pattern, but I love this pattern that was sent to me. I probably wouldn't have picked it if I had a choice, but I love happy surprises.

The Mystique Nail Appliques came in a set that should fit just about every nail bed.

It comes with an instruction paper. But really, the steps are kinda like common sense ya know? lol

How I used them:
1. I cleaned my nails with polish remover and cotton balls, and made sure they were dry.

2. I picked out the appliques that fit each of my nails and set them aside.

3. I then started placing them on my nails. No glue necessary because each applique comes with a strong adhesive behind it. The Key to application is to start from your cuticle, and use your other hand to push upward to the tip of your nails. They recommend a cuticle pusher on the instruction paper, but my fingers did the job well. I used my nails to push down the applique into my cuticle line. It's Quite easy actually.
The adhesive is forgiving before you press it all the way completely down, so you can remove it and adjust it if you aligned it wrongly.
I will warn you that once it's all the way down on your nails, it stays on pretty strong, so You might have a hard time removing it without messing up the applique.

4. Once you have the applique on your nail, cut off excess with scissors, and file it in a downward motion to remove the little bit left. File along the shape of your nails in a downward motion. You might want to use a coarse nail file, so you don't have to repeat the motion too many times.

5.  The Appliques are glossy on their own but if you're one of those people that feel better with topcoat on everything, go ahead and apply topcoat. These pictures (except my thumb) are without topcoat.

The Result Once again:
If you look closely, of course you can tell they are stickers. But my friends thought I sat down to create these on my nails by painting. I was like.. Uhmm No way Jose! Lol...

As you can see, I inter-changed the patterns on my nails. you can choose either of the ends that you prefer to appear on your nails.
If you have short nails, You can absolutely use one applique twice.
Mystique Nail Applique

Some of the appliques have "french tip shapes", so I decided to try out the french tip on my thumb nail!
Oh, yes, yes, I like this!!! SO easy!!!
There was excess paper on the side of my nail, but I just filed it away.

Truthfully, this was easy for me to apply. I didn't exactly time myself, but if I'm being honest, it took me about 20 minutes to do One Hand... and that includes cleaning, filing, and everything!

If there's one thing everybody already know about appliques, it's the fact that you can get so many designs on your nails without doing too much work.
But the question people usually have is: "Does it last long"?
Well This Do it Yourself Lady have good news for you. As you all know, I don't usually wear polishes for long, but for the purpose of this review, I left the applique on my hand for a full day, and the one on my thumb was there for two days. Yes, I know that's nothing compared to everyday people, but keep in mind that while this applique was on, I had so much chores to do.. I soaked my hands in water for the most part of the day, and after all that battering, the applique was still in place.

They are a lot of designs and patterns by Mystique Nail Applique that is sure to fit everyone taste.
This paper came with my Appliques, and it shows a bunch of other designs.

My Overall comment about these?
I would love to have a couple of these in my nail kit for days when I don't have time to paint my nails and I have to be somewhere! They're so easy to apply.
Removal was a bit hard because the adhesive doesn't play. Lol.. It stayed on strong (which is a good thing if you want to wear this for longer than 2-3 days).
I tried not to be a perfectionist with these, because I know most people probably won't notice the little mistakes I think I made. Lol... Key is just to apply them as nicely as possible.

If you're interested in these, please visit Mystique Nail Applique, to register and make your purchase.
I was told that the pricing for all sheets are $9.95.

That's it for now my loves.
Till Later, God Bless.
