4th of July Mani with Julep's July - It Girl Box

Happy Monday Darlings!

It's officially July, and In a couple of days, we'll be celebrating 4th of July!!! America's Independence day!
Whoop whoop!

Anyhoo, Since I'm a Julep Maven, I was pretty excited about July's box, so I chose not to skip.
My box came last week and I was really impressed with the polish called America.
My box is the IT GIRL box, so I had three polishes in there. America was an added bonus this month in honor of 4th of July. :-)

So, let's get to it sugars.

Here are the goodies in my box. Those fire ball candy or whatever they are called, are HOT!! I love spicy food, but goodness, these were way too spicy for me.

Here's how Nicely the polishes were wrapped before I tore it up. Lol...

Close up of the polishes.
Left to right: Julep - America, Mila, Daphne, Kate

America and Kate begged to be USED for a fourth of July mani, So I came up with something really quickly.
I Used Kate as a base on all my nails. Then I put America on all of them. As a gradient, and then as a full mani on my ring finger.
For this picture, I held the papers that were put in the Julep box. :-)

America would have gotten opaque on its own I'm sure, but since I already had a white base, I just layered America on it for my ring finger.

I Love the concept of this mani!!!

Overall, I love how well these polishes work together!
So appropriate for 4th of July.

Kate Got opaque in three thin coats,
America is a bit on the thick side, but it was "workable". Two stars came out in America while I used it and I was pleasantly surprised!! If you look closely on my ring finger, you'll see the stars, at the top and bottom of my nails. :-D

I love this mani and I say a big HIP HIP HIP to The U.S of A!!!

  1. I got the IT Girl box this month too- I only just signed up for the Maven program like a week ago (because of this box!), but I was able to get them to make July my first billed month after the Intro box, instead of August.

LOVE them! Mila only takes 2 coats to be opaque and is super beautiful. I also ordered addons on Chelsea (the purple glitter one) and the magenta sparkly one. Those 2 were shipped seperately though, so I'm betting they'll get here today.

If Julep keeps up stuff like this, I may actually get buying their boxes :)

    1. I didn't get any add ones. I'm pretty impressed with this month box too. Indeed if they keep up like this, I'll be a happy Maven. :-)

  2. Gorgeous, Lizzy! I think what I like most about America is that it's predominantly red glitter. Love the surprise stars! Star glitter makes me smile. :)
