April's Haul/Nail Mails

What it do peoples!?!

Lol... Yes, I'm random, and my opening lines always crack me up. Lol...

Anyhoo, as most of y'all might know, the month of April was the month I decided to do the Nail Polish Buying Challenge.
The challenge rules stated that if a nail Polish or Nail related item wasn't Free, 50% off, or less than $2, IT MUST NOT COME HOME!
At the beginning of the challenge, I almost backed out because It seemed hard to do.
I did however stick to the challenge, and I'm glad to announce I made it (kinda). lol...

Here are some things I got... To see These and many more, Click Read More to read about my month and feast on some pictures. :-)

Swatches and Review: BPS Crystal Purple Pink Polish

Hello dearies...

This post is coming late because it was originally meant for tomorrow (saturday). After teasing you all on facebook with the bottle shot of this nail polish, A LOT of you were curious to see swatches, so I decided to post it now.
See, I Listen to y'all! :-D

The Polish I'm reviewing today is honestly one of the prettiest polishes I've seen! When Born Pretty Store - the nail art store, asked me to pick an item I would like to review, I was so tempted to pick so many other things, but I knew I just had to try this polish for myself, and see how well it looks in person/swatched.

As You all must know by now, a LOT of Indie Polishes are storming the nail polish community lately, and most of those Indie Polishes are gorgeous glitters that are almost always never in stock. Lol... To quench my thirst for polishes I probably wouldn't get a hold of soon, I decided to choose this polish from BPS for my review. A Purple/Pink Glitter bomb?! How could I not want it!

Alright, this post will be picture Jammed, so I urge you to buckle up, and grab a tissue while you're at it... because you are about to begin... drooling... :-D

I don't really know the name to call this polish, but on the BPS website, it's called Crystal Purple Pink Nail Art Polish Enamel Gel Cool #63. Yes, I know, Long name right? The name on the bottle say B.O #63, So I'll just go with that for the purpose of this review.

B.O #63 is is purple pink polish packed with different sizes of hexagonal glitters and little shimmery glitters. Definitely intended as a topcoat, because trying to build opacity with this one might give you a headache.

For my main Swatch today, I chose to layer it over Kleancolor - Pastel Blue. The right hand is making an appearance today because I wanted to showcase this polish with my longer nails. (Read about my right hand here).

Here are my final results. 2 coats of B.O #63 over 2 coats of Pastel Blue.

Looks Good eh?

I even got funky with my hand positioning.. Lol... Gorgeous polishes make people adventurous.

What do you think so far?
Well, I hope you know that as a Do It Yourself Lady, I *had* to experiment over different colors, just to tame my curiosity and also to actually give you an extensive review!! It ain't just about the swatches darlings... So it's REVIEW TIME!!!

First Up!! Swatches on bare Nails!!!  Left to Right, Top to Bottom. Bottle Shot, B.O #63 1 coat, 2 coats, and 3 Coats.

Then, swatches over different base colors. Here's my left hand.
Left is One coat of B.O #63, right is 2 coats.  I love it over every base color, but I hope you agree it looks divine on blue!
Colors used are all Kleancolor Polishes: Index - Neon Pink, Middle - Neon Purple, Ring - Pastel blue, Pinky - Black

Then of course, I have to show you what 1 coat and two coats look like on the Blue... Left is 1 Coat, Right is 2 coats.

Since the black on my pinky didn't really show what it looks like over black well enough.. Here's a swatch of what it really looks like over black.

Oh, and Lastly, Here are some bottle shots with my nails!!!

How about THAT for an extensive review!!!
Are you still with me so far? Did you quickly scroll down after the first picture to get the details on how, and where to buy this? Lol

Well, Hold on a bit let me give you my final verdict on the polish.

Application was lovely on this! I didn't have to "fish for" the larger glitters. They came out to play on their own. I wouldn't advice anything more than 2 coats except you want to wait an eternity for it to dry on your nails. No Topcoat is necessary because the base in the polish really blends down the glitters. So you don't have to worry about gritty glitters. I eventually used my Wicked Fast topcoat (after taking pictures), because I wanted to cut down on dry time.

The price that the polish goes for is just typical of almost all things at the BornPrettyStore. Affordable!
B.O #63 is from a collection of 6 glitter polishes that can be found here. All of the 6 polishes are sold for $17.81.
Can't afford all 6? You can buy each one for $3.89 here, here, here, here, and here
For the direct link to this purple one, click Here.

Remember, BPS offers free worldwide shipping to everyone. And they have also been kind enough to offer my readers a 5% off discount code.

Alright Darlings.. I thought I would have all night to compose this, but due to popular demand, I had to do it now.. So therefore, I am Exhausted!! Lol...

Comment below, tell me what you think...
Till Later, God Bless.

**B.O #63 was sent to me for review. Opinions are 100% mine. Please read my disclosure policy here**

Swatches and Review: Cult Nails - Manipulative and Captivated

Hello Love muffins...

*using Wendy's voice* How you doing?!!!!

A while back, I announced on here that Cult Nails will be having a 50% off sale in celebration of their facebook page getting to 5000 "Likes".

During the sale, I picked up three polishes. :-)
Pictured below from left to right, are Cult nails - Wicked fast topcoat, Captivated and Manipulative.
I also included a picture of the famous Cult Nails "Polish burittos". Each Nail Polish comes wrapped up in pretty eco-friendly wrappers. Some Cotton balls were also a part of the packaging.
I give Cult Nail an A+ for presentation!

Anyhoo.. Let's get to the swatches darlings. First up is Manipulative
This is a baby blue polish that has silver shimmers in it. The shimmer was hard to capture on camera, but it's there in real life.
Colors like this are suddenly striking my fancy. Blues were minimal in my collection before the past 2 months. But now, I see a blue polish, and I'm drawn to it. Manipulative drew me to it, and I'm glad I responded the call. lol..
Application was alright, But I had to use three coats to get a desired look. I completed the look with Wicked Fast Top Coat.

Next up, we have Captivated.  This one is like a glitter, shimmer, almost flakie bomb. I didn't know whether to use it as a topcoat, or swatch on its own. After much deliberation, I decided to wear it on its own. What you see here is three coats, no top coat.
I was not too crazy about this polish, even though I KNEW it looked good on me. Weird eh?

I like that it got opaque after 3 coats.

But something still wasn't "right" with it. I just wasn't feeling it as much as I thought I would...

So I whipped out my Essie - Matte About You Topcoat... used it, and I was like... "Ohhhh weee baby!!! NOW you've Captivated me!!"
Cult nails - Captivated (Matte)

I loved wearing this polish Matte so very much!!!

I messed with the setting on my camera to get this picture that shows you the awesome goodness Captivated looks like when Matte-fied!

Surely, you also think this is better matte.... right??? Right???
I'm happy with these two polishes on a general bases. :-) At the great discount, I have no complains.

The third Polish I got is Wicked Fast Topcoat. I don't have swatches  because it's clear.  But my review on it is that, It's aightt.. lol..
Ok, maybe not Just "aightt".. It's good. Decent. I would be happy with it had I not tried Color Club Topcoat or Seche Vite. I have seriously been spoiled by my Color Club topcoat and Seche Vite. Those dry my manis in about one minute. I can take off my pants in about 3-5 minutes with those topcoats.

But Wicked Fast... Wicked Fast Smudged my Mani after 10 minutes. I was like... Come on Son!!! Sure it was dry to touch in like 4-5 minutes... But it obviously wasn't completely dry because it still smudged while I tried to do something with my hands.
I will still use it  A LOT because I love how it covers and smooths my polishes.

That's it for today darlings!

Zoya - Wednesday and Zuza for Autism Awareness

Hello Darlings!

Hope y'all are doing mighty fine today? :-)
April is Autism Awareness month, and I've got a fun mani I did in honor of Autism awareness month for y'all today. The Color Blue is associated with Autism, and that's why I've chosen to use two colors each from the Zoya Surf and Beach Collection.

I present....Zoya - Wednesday and Zuza!
These colors are two of my favorites from the Surf and Beach collection, and I LOVE how well they compliment each other! Application was a breeze on both of these.

In order to spice this mani up, I added some rhinestones in the shape of a heart. Symbolizing LOVE for people with Autism.
At the begining of April, I did This Mani explaining a bit about Autism. I have gotten to know more about Autism in the past few months (aside from what I was thought in nursing school). People with Autism are human beings too and EVERYONE deserves to be loved, despite their limitations.

I found a bracelet that complimented my mani, so I took some pictures with it. :-)

Did I already mention how much I love Zuza and Wednesday? And the fact that they compliment each other so well?

And Here's what I did with my thumb... I Love my mani beyond words! :-D

Here are both Polishes used for this mani. Zoya - Wednesday and Zuza.
I've reviewed Zoya's Surf Collection and will be posting my review of the Beach Collection soon.

Well, that's it for my Autism Awareness mani darlings.
Do you know any kids/person with autism?
Here are two links to help you get started on learning more about autism today.

Kleancolor - Holo Green

Happy Wednesday lovely people!!

I'm still rocking my franken mani
I'm actually glad that having A Cupcake Yule Love on my nails is giving me the opportunity to post some manis I never got around to post on the blog.

I want to see how long ACYL will last on my nails before chipping, but I don't think I can take this anymore. lol.. Can You believe I only have *minor* tip wear and no chips?! I think I'll take it off tonight though, because I have so many polishes I'm itching to swatch/rock! Lol..

Anyhoo... Today, while looking through some folders on my laptop, I found this mani I did quickly for a dinner I went to. I wanted something that looks like it took a lot of work, but actually didn't. lol... Holographic polishes seem to always look "Va-va-voom", So I went with Kleancolor - Holo Green.

Holo Green was a dream to apply. I was going to layer it over a green polish to bring out the green in its base, but I didn't have what I call 'the perfect green for its base". So I decided to layer it over Kleancolor - Black.

As You all probably know by now, Black is my favorite black polish. Easy formula that is opaque in JUST ONE coat!

I used one coat of Holo Green over Black for this look. I love that the Holo doesn't change the color of the black polish.

The scattered Holographic goodness in Holo Green shines at every angle! I love when my Holos don't need special "lighting" to shine! *sings* Let's pretend that Holographic nail polish on our nails are like shooting stars.. I could really use a wish right now.. wish right now.. wish right now.. Lol
The Polish looks like color stars on my nails.

I highly recommend all of the Kleancolor Holos. They are such a fun and cheap way to spark up any regular polish. You can get them at $1 each at your local beauty supply stores, or check on or ebay/amazon for great deals.

Here are the kleancolor Holos I own so far.. I lovesssss me some Kleancolor Polishes!!!
Left to Right: Kleancolor Holo Chrome (MY FAVORITE Polish ever), Holo Yellow, Holo Blue, Holo Orange, and Holo Green.

And here are some pictures I took while Inside two beauty supply stores around me.
You jealous??!? Lol...
I always have to show restraint when I go into these beauty supply stores! lol... I Go in for hair products, and come out with nail polishes *sigh*.. Lol...

Where is this?

Where is this?

Well, that's it for now darlings.
What do you think of Holo Green?
Do You have beauty supply stores around you that carry Kleancolor polishes?
Do you have any Kleancolor polishes? Especially their Holos?

Thanks for viewing..
Till Later, God bless.

Swatches and Review: Sinful Colors - Neptune & Bare

Hello Beautiful Peoples!!

The swatches I have for you today are from a while back. I'm still rocking my franken - A Cupcake Yule love, and I don't want to take it off yet. Lol.. So, I went through my folder and found a bunch of swatches I hadn't posted yet on the blog.

Today, I'll be showing you two of the polishes I got from Walgreens a while back.
First up is Sinful Color - Neptune.
It's no secret I'm a sucker for pretty and bright colors. Neptune is a gorgeous color that is promising for summer. With an easy two coater formula, I couldn't be happier with this polish.

The shimmer in neptune makes it even much more pretty. Look at those silver shinnies on the top.

Secondly, We have Bare also by Sinful Colors.

Bare is like a baby pink that almost could pass for a nude polish. It is definitely one of those "work appropriate" polishes, and it looks good  against my skin tone. The formula on this was really easy to work with, and it got opaque in 2 coats.

I stated at the beginning of the post that I got a few Polishes from Walgreens. Well, here's what I meant by a few. Lol..
I Got these last month (before the nail Polish buying challenge).

I will most likely swatch them in twos like I did today. But Anyhoo.... I am so happy with the colors that Sinful Colors have lately. They have really stepped up their game! They have a variety of colors. Great formula, and a Price you can't beat (Less than $2 each)!

Have you picked up some of the new Sinful Colors at walgreens? Which ones did you get?
What do you think about Neptune and Bare?
Tell me Tell me! Lol..
Till Later Y'all. God Bless.
